September 9th: Athens -> Tinos

Rise and shine. Got to get up, get breakfast (missed the day before), pack and get going. At 11 AM, we were at the Syntagma Square where there was a parade (small one). We got to see the Greek soldiers with their pompom (hehe) shoes.

Alright, where's the trolley bus stop. We need to get to Rafina. There! There! Bus 9! We ran and jumped on without getting our tickets. Oops. Oh well. Got off past the museum and hopped onto another bus to Rafina to have lunch, mill around and catch the Highspeed 3 (name of our boat) which is a catamaran (fast boat) to Tinos island. Ferry's pretty cool - quiet and stable. After about 2 hours, we arrived in Tinos. it's a less touristy-touristy island.

Decided to camp tonight so went to Tinos campground. Pitched our tents and went walking towards the port to find some food.

Oh yeah, the lady at the reception told us there's a fiesta at 8:30 PM. Various traditional Greek music live. Ate a a restaurant somewhat next to the 'stage'. Had moussaka. Quite tasty. Walked around town a little through old port and new port. Stayed to listen to more music and watch people dance. Very entertaining. As we were walking back to the campground (hoping that we're not lost), we could still hear the music rather well and we're more than half a kilometre away. Anyway, time for zzZzzZZZ
