September 12th (Happy Birthday): Mykonos -> Naxos

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

*noise* Huh? What's that? *open one eye* Where's Adi? What's that noise? Ahhh ... alarm. Damn .. got to get up to shut it off. Ugh. Well, since I'm already awake, might as well get ready and start packing. Need to catch the 10 AM ferry to Naxos. Had a quick breakfast (eggs + bacon + bread + tea), left a note for Carolien and Ian and left. Had to walk 2 km to the new port but heck, we're early anyway. Now on the ferry for a 40 mins boat ride.

Found an apt for rent. Pretty nice. Got a "balcony" at the back to sit and enjoy the weather. A bit far from the square or harbour but still walking distance. Rented a scooter and took it through the various towns.

Stopped at some local restaurant for food. Now this is real local Greek food (or so we think).
Onwards towards Appollons. Stopped at tower of Agia and statue of Dionysis (fallen marble statue).
Oh look! Statue of Dionysos
Adi thought he found his love of his life

Found the beach we were looking for a went for a dip. COLD! *brrr* Had to keep moving but at least the waters remain shallow for quite a distance. Alright, the sun is hiding. We might as well head back, freshen up and head for dinner. Dinner was at this quaint restaurant in North section from the castle.

Afterwards, walked through the 8274562953475 alleys and browsed the shops (got lost in the meantime of course). Finally found the waffle/ice-cream place and got my gelato dessert! I'm happy!
